Susan Elizabeth Phillips Book series:

Susan Elizabeth Phillips is my absolute favourite author and I think everyone should get the chance to enjoy her books, therefore I decided to review her books for you. I hope you will enjoy my reviews and maybe you even decide to read one (or all) of her novels!

Here I am going to start with a short Intro, in which I will only list to which series her various books belong. Since the author uses characters that are interrelated between the books, it is nice to know which books have a connection to each other. There are in fact three different blocks of books from Susan Elizabeth Phillips:

First of all there are the Wynette, Texas books, which I usually call the “golf series”. Even though, some are unrelated to the famous golf players that make up the main characters in most of the books in this series, all of the book and their characters relate to each other. This series includes seven books: Fancy Pants, Lady be Good, First Lady, Glitter Baby, What I did for Love, and Call Me Irresistible (which is the most recent book and was only published this year, 2011). The next book which will appear in this series will be a book about Lucy Jorik (one of the character which has already appeared in two books of the series), but the title has not been made public yet.

Wynette Texas Series

The second series is the Chicago Stars series, which is possibly the most famous. This series also includes the Bonner Brother books. The series revolves around the members and the owner of a football team, the Chicago Stars. There are seven books in total in this series: It Had To be You, Heaven, Texas, Nobody’s Baby But Mine, Dream a Little Dream, This Heart of Mine, Match Me if You Can, and Natural Born Charmer.

Chicago Stars Series

The last category includes the books that stand alone and do not belong to one of the series. There are six additional books: Hot Shot, Honey Moon, Kiss and Angel, Just Imagine (Original title: Risen Glory), Breathing Room, and Ain´t She Sweet?

Other SEP books

I am going to write reviews and film a review series about these books, and I hope that some of you will fall in love with them just the way I did. There is nothing better for me than to curl up in my bed with a Susan Elizabeth Phillips novel, because I know the book will completely absorb my attention!

I should mention that three of her books are not in print anymore. However, two of them (Glitter Baby under the same title, and Risen Glory as Just Imagine) were recently published as revised versions. The only book that is not printed anymore at all is The Copeland Bride (Dell, 1983), which she wrote as Justine Cole. However, you might be able to find these older books in second hand shops. I have added link to Amazon for all the other books, in case you are interested in reading them.

My favourite books from Susan Elizabeth Phillips are Nobody’s Baby but Mine, This Heart of Mine, and (my absolute favourite book of all times) Kiss An Angel.
